How do I get tags for my car?
A lot will depend on where you live, but if you're in the US, I suggest you contact your local licensing bureau (sometimes called the Secretary of State (SOS) office or Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. Explain that you have paid for registration through your dealership, but haven't received any license plates. The SOS / DMV may be able to confirm whether new registration in your name is in the works, or if there's a problem with the application submitted by the dealer. If all else fails, demand a refund of the registration fees and then go register the car yourself.
